5. Replacing Worn – Out Components
Over time, some components of the flange gate valve can wear out. For example, the valve stem, the gate, or the handwheel.
If the valve stem is worn, you can replace it. First, remove the bonnet of the valve. Then, disconnect the stem from the gate and the handwheel. Install the new stem and reassemble the valve. Make sure to lubricate the stem properly to ensure smooth operation.
